The Pirelli Scorpion XC Mid Soft Tyre is designed to offer riders who want to use their enduro bike as professional cross bike outside of racetracks on soft to medium terrain (sand, mud, loose, loam, soil, gravel).
The Tyres have been constructed using a High-module low-shrinkage Polyester Carcass which allows for controlled deformation to ensure an ample footprint for maximum effectiveness of traction and braking. A Racing compound has been used to offer high performance throughout the entire competition, regardless of the conditions of the surface. The compound is identical to that used in the MX World Championship, and it offers maximum resistance to heating, dynamic stresses, cutting and laceration, along with a long life and stability of performance for its entire life.
The Tread Pattern and Carcass of the Tyre has evolved from the experience of the World MX Championship. There are small rigid blocks on the front Tyre which provide optimum grip and precise steering. They also ensure the Tyre is adaptable on softer ground. The Rear Tyre has a V-Layout of Blocks which offers stability when accelerating and braking, and a great capacity to transfer power to the ground.
